Grassley: Biden Policies Destroyed Energy Independence, Fueled Soaring Inflation; Iowans Worse Off Than A Year Ago

CEDAR RAPIDS & WATERLOO, IOWA – U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley today spoke at the 2022 Linn and Black Hawk County Republican Conventions in Cedar Rapids and Waterloo and energized crowds of grassroots Republicans ready to take back Congress in November. The Grassley Works campaign had a presence in all of Iowa’s 99 county Republican conventions. 
 
During speeches at the conventions in Cedar Rapids and Waterloo, Grassley called out President Biden for attempting to pass the buck on border security, energy independence, inflation, sky-high gas prices, the crisis at the border, the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal and Justice Department targeting of parents. 
 
“I was glad to meet with supporters at conventions in Linn and Black Hawk counties. The enthusiasm I see and hear to take back the Senate Republican Majority and keep check on the Biden administration is red hot,” Grassley said. “Inflation is at a 40-year high, gas prices are at historic levels, the lawlessness at our southern border is endangering Americans, violent crime is surging across the country, and the federal government is targeting parents who simply want a say in their child’s education. A year into the Biden administration, our country is much worse off. We need to retake Congress to put a check on this out-of-touch White House and get America back on track.”
