Mike Franken Can’t Represent Us. He Doesn’t Know Us.
WEST DES MOINES — The Grassley Works campaign launched another advertising campaign exposing Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Mike Franken’s disrespect for Iowa and our hometown communities.
“Small towns are the fabric of our state. Who in their right mind would insult Iowans like that and then come here and try and get Iowans to vote for him? Franken’s views about Iowa are disqualifying to represent Iowans in the U.S. Senate,” Grassley Works Communications Director Michaela Sunderman said.
When asked to explain his comments about rural Iowans, Mike Franken doubled down on his insults and said, “I’m sorry the truth hurts so much.”
A lifelong resident of New Hartford, Senator Chuck Grassley is proud of raising his family and farming in Butler County and honored to represent Iowans in the United States Senate. Grassley’s small-town roots and experience as a family farmer have fueled his proven record of results for Iowa.
