Grassley Highlights Biden Energy Failures in Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE — Last night, Senator Grassley headlined the Webster County Republican Party’s Annual Ken & Jane Rasch Chili Supper & Auction in Fort Dodge. After meeting with Iowa voters, Grassley highlighted the failures of the Biden energy policy after OPEC’s recent recommendation to cut oil production by two million barrels a day and how this will harm Iowa families and farmers.

“You wonder why gasoline got up to five dollars. It got up there because of these energy policies of this administration,” Grassley said.

“If they reverse their energy policy, you’d have inflation going down to four percent almost immediately and you’d have gas prices go down. But no, they go to Saudi Arabia and what does Saudi Arabia do? They decrease pumping by two million barrels a day instead of doing what the president wanted them to do, send us more,” Grassley continued.

BACKGROUND:
Senator Grassley is the lead sponsor of the bipartisan No Oil Producing & Exporting Cartels bill (NOPEC) that would hold foreign oil cartels accountable for colluding to fix prices. He is pushing the Senate to include NOPEC in the upcoming defense spending bill.
