Chuck Grassley: Biden “Believes in Open Borders”

CLIVE — Last night, Senator Chuck Grassley attended the 22nd annual Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition Spring Kick-Off event featuring Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.

Grassley’s remarks focused on his work as the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee to oversee Supreme Court nominations and the importance of his three-year investigation into Hunter and James Biden’s financial entanglements with the Chinese Communist Party. He also gave an overview of the destruction of the middle class under President Joe Biden’s leadership, including his disastrous energy policies, soaring gas prices, risking the safety of our communities with weak border security and chilling free speech of parents who wish to be involved in their children’s education. 

“We’ve made illegal many times over the last few decades that you don’t come to our country without our permission. We make the laws, but we’ve got a president that isn’t going to enforce those laws because he believes in open borders,” Grassley said. 

Grassley also discussed Republicans’ success standing up to the Biden Administration’s progressive pipe dreams. He said, “You can thank 50 Republican Senators and Joe Manchin that there isn’t another $4.5 trillion of deficit spending.”

During her keynote address, Senator Marsha Blackburn applauded Grassley’s work in the Senate. “Chuck Grassley: What a great job he does. What is so interesting to me, we would not know all we know about Hunter Biden except for the tenacity of Chuck Grassley leading this investigation,” Blackburn said.  

The Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Spring Event is a prominent gathering of conservative voters in Iowa. Governor Kim Reynolds, Senator Joni Ernst, Reps. Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Ashley Hinson also attended the event.
