Chuck Grassley: Iowa will be Number One
BETTENDORF — Last night, Senator Chuck Grassley attended the 14th Annual Ronald Reagan Dinner hosted by the Scott County Republican Party. Grassley discussed record-high inflation, the crisis at our southern border and the bad energy policies of the Biden administration.
Grassley also discussed a key difference between him and his opponent.
“If I’m re-elected to the United States Senate, I’ll be number one [in Senate seniority] and Iowa will be number one. And if [Mike Franken is] elected to the United States Senate, he would be number 100,” Grassley said.
By sending Grassley back to the Senate and helping Republicans win the majority, Grassley will continue to leverage Iowa’s voice at the negotiating tables on key issues in the nation’s capital, from taxes to immigration, drug pricing, rural health care and agriculture. Whereas, a victory for Mike Franken would put us on the lowest rung of the Senate’s ladder of seniority and Iowa would lose its seat at the head of the policymaking table.
