Former Trump Officials from Iowa Endorse Chuck Grassley
Trump and Grassley “Made America Great Again” “We Need Chuck Now More Than Ever” DES MOINES – A bevy of former Trump administration officials from Iowa today endorsed Senator Chuck Grassley for re-election following former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Grassley last month. A recent Des Moines Register poll found former President Trump leading President Joe Biden in Iowa by 11 percentage points in a hypothetical 2024 rematch. Only 33% of Iowans approve of Biden’s job in the White House. Meanwhile, Trump’s approval rating among Iowans is at a record high. “These Iowans helped lead the charge to achieve many of the Trump administration’s biggest successes. They were some of the most effective advocates in our fight to open new markets abroad for Iowa’s farmers and grow our domestic biofuels industry,” Grassley said. “These public servants understand firsthand what a difference it makes to have an Iowan at the policymaking tables in Washington. I’m honored to have their support in my campaign for re-election.” In their endorsement letter, the former Trump officials cited Grassley’s work to confirm three Supreme Court Justices and to pass the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and historic criminal justice reform. The full letter can be found below or here. As Iowans and former members of the Trump administration, we join President Trump in his complete and total endorsement of Chuck Grassley for re-election to the U.S. Senate. Together, President Trump and Senator Chuck Grassley made America great again. They delivered three Supreme Court Justices, the United States Mexico Canada trade agreement, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and the biggest criminal justice reform in a generation. President Trump always says, “Chuck Grassley is tough.” He’s a man that truly loves Iowa. As former chairman and ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator Grassley helped craft the President’s tax cuts and then guided them through Congress to the President’s desk, just as he did the prior two largest tax cuts in history. As a fierce champion for Iowa agriculture and manufacturing, every administration knows that international trade deals brokered during his tenure must pass Grassley’s seal of approval. As former chairman and current ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Grassley helped steer through a historic number of conservative jurists to the federal bench during the Trump administration and is sinking his teeth into anticompetitive practices in the cattle markets, the pharmaceutical industry and Big Tech. President Biden and the radical Democrats in Washington are trying to undo all the good President Trump accomplished. Chuck Grassley is the leader we need now to hold the line against socialism. We need Chuck now more than ever. We give our full-throated endorsement to Chuck Grassley for re-election and encourage our neighbors across the ideological spectrum, rural and urban, young and old, from across the state to join us. Whether you’re a farmer or a stay-at-home parent, drive a truck for a living, retired, run a business, or work on the factory floor, Chuck Grassley works for you. The Senator we need is the Senator we’ve got.
