Grassley Addresses Rising Cost of Living in Dubuque

DUBUQUE— Yesterday, Senator Chuck Grassley made campaign stops in eastern Iowa to meet with voters. He started in Dubuque for the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Politics & Eggs” and ended his day in Dyersville for the Quad City River Bandits vs. Cedar Rapids Kernels game at the Field of Dreams. In Dubuque, Grassley discussed issues impacting the local economy and topics on the top of Iowans’ minds including inflation hurting Iowa families and small businesses, additional funding to improve Iowa’s bridges, lowering drug costs and support for Iowa pharmacies, and President Joe Biden’s border crisis.

As Grassley travels around the state meeting with Iowans, he hears concerns about two main topics: the soaring cost of living increases hitting Iowa families and the crisis at our southern border. Grassley has introduced multiple pieces of legislation to keep more money in Iowans’ wallets and as the lead Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, he is leading the fight against the Biden administration’s open border policies.
