Grassley Receives Key Home School Endorsement
WEST DES MOINES — Today, the Grassley Works campaign announced Senator Chuck Grassley received an endorsement for his re-election to the U.S. Senate from the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) Action PAC.
In the letter notifying Grassley of the endorsement, HSLDA Action PAC Director Jeremiah Lorrig said, “Your pro-family positions, as well as your commitment to the rights of homeschoolers make you a defender of the foundational freedoms that have made this country flourish. Finally, we are convinced that you are a strong pro-life candidate who values all human life and will therefore stand up for the rights of the weak and vulnerable. The values you represent are crucial in our fight to continue preserving homeschool freedom for families across the country.”
Grassley works to put parents first in decisions regarding their children’s education. During his annual 99 question-and-answer sessions across the state, Iowa educators express frustration about federal red tape hampering their focus on classroom instruction. Grassley also champions the rights of parents to have a say in their child’s education without the chilling effect on free speech from federal surveillance.
