Grassley says Biden’s border policies make Iowans less safe
URBANDALE—This morning, Sen. Chuck Grassley spoke to 131 Iowans at the Westside Conservative Breakfast Club at the Machine Shed in Urbandale. He lambasted the Biden administration for its open border policies jeopardizing the safety of Americans and ignoring the rule of law and President Biden’s disappointing energy policies driving up the cost of gas for Iowa families. Sen. Grassley outlined his bipartisan efforts to lower the cost of prescription drugs for seniors, get Iowa’s independent cattle producers a fair market and take on the discriminatory policies of Big Tech that are hurting Iowa’s small businesses.
Currently leading another Supreme Court battle to fill the Breyer vacancy, Sen. Grassley was applauded for his leadership to install a conservative majority on the high court through his work to confirm Justices Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett.
Sen. Grassley asked the attendees for their support in the Republican primary stating, “I don’t take any Iowan for granted. Conservatives like you are the backbone of my campaign. You feel passionately about the importance of individual liberty and principles of limited government just like I do. I need your support to take back the U.S. Senate from Chuck Schumer and save America.”
Sen. Grassley addressed questions from the audience about China stealing America’s intellectual property, parental rights, holding the IRS accountable to the taxpayer and the truckers protesting in Canada.
Sen. Grassley is committed to keeping in touch with Iowans so he can better represent them at the policymaking tables. From his political meetings, to his 42nd year of holding at least one Q&A in every county every year and more, Iowans always set the agenda.
