Iowa Corn Growers Association Endorses Chuck Grassley for Re-Election
WEST DES MOINES – The Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) announced its endorsement of Senator Chuck Grassley’s re-election. The ICGA represents 8,000 farmers across the state of Iowa.
“As one of two crop farmers in the U.S. Senate and the only farmer in this race, I understand the daily struggles and challenges facing Iowa ag producers. From my farm in Butler County to representing Iowa agriculture in Washington, D.C., I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our farmers. It’s an honor to have the support of Iowa corn growers and to have their endorsement of my work for them in Congress,” Grassley said.
Grassley also received the endorsement of the Iowa Farm Bureau, which represents more than 160,000 member families across the state. Just this week, the Grassley campaign announced the leadership of the Farmers for Grassley coalition.
Grassley serves on the Senate Agriculture Committee, and he runs his fourth-generation family farm with his son Robin and grandson Pat in Butler County. In the U.S. Senate, he’s starting work on the new Farm Bill, leading bipartisan legislation to bring transparency to the cattle market, championing biofuels, protecting farmers and small businesses from a super-sized IRS, and standing up against heavy-handed federal regulations, such as the Waters of the United States Rule.
