Mike Franken’s Ad About Honesty is Dishonest
WEST DES MOINES — Today, Grassley Works Communications Director Michaela Sundermann released the following reaction to Mike Franken’s latest television advertisement:
“It says a lot about Mike Franken that in an ad about honesty, he’s consistently dishonest. He says he speaks truth to power, but he’s bragged about misleading his commanding officers with false information to influence foreign policy. He pledged not to take corporate money, but he broke his word and is raking in thousands of corporate PAC dollars. He claims to have spoken out against policies during the Bush and Obama administrations, but he offers no proof to substantiate his claims. Mike Franken talks out of both sides of his mouth depending on who’s listening. He cannot be trusted to represent Iowans.”
