Our opinion: Despite concerns, re-elect Grassley

“Grassley is justifiably proud of his commitment to conduct a town hall session in every county every year.”

“Grassley has a long record of working hard on many issues, especially those supporting Iowa, public access to government, consumers and whistleblowers. He has a reputation for being a pain in the behind to presidents, Cabinet secretaries and government bureaucrats — regardless of party affiliation — when he gets a whiff of government waste, fraud and mismanagement, or where the citizen is being shortchanged.”

“He has served the state and nation well, and Iowans would be wise to send him back to Washington…”
