Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony List’s Candidate Fund PAC announced its endorsement of U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) for re-election.

“Senator Grassley is a fearless pro-life champion in the Senate and we are proud to stand with him as he seeks re-election,” said the Honorable Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s vice president of government affairs. “He has proven his pro-life bona fides time and time again. As a previous chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Grassley played a crucial role in confirming more than 200 constitutionalist judges to the federal bench, including the Supreme Court – laying the groundwork to challenge America’s radical abortion laws that allow painful late-term abortions up to birth. Senator Grassley continues to stand firm against the pro-abortion extremism of the Biden-Harris administration. He has been an instrumental partner at every step and we look forward to his ongoing pro-life leadership.”

Grassley was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1980 and is one of two active farmers in the upper chamber today. During his time in the Senate, he has maintained a 100% pro-life voting record and has an A+ on SBA List’s National Pro-Life Scorecard. He is a co-sponsor of many major pro-life bills, including the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act, and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. While serving as Judiciary Committee chairman, he led the charge to investigate Planned Parenthood’s role in the harvest and sale of baby body parts. He also co-signed a congressional amicus brief in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, in which the U.S. Supreme Court will address the constitutionality of pre-viability limits on abortion.

Grassley and his wife Barbara are members of Prairie Lakes Church Cedar Falls and have five adult children.

SBA List is a network of 900,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
