West Virginia Senator Shelley Moore Capito Supports Grassley for Re-Election
WEST DES MOINES — Following her visit to Iowa, West Virginia Senator Shelley Moore Capito released the following statement.
“It was great to be back in Iowa with my friend Chuck Grassley. Back home in West Virginia, folks are worried about inflation, supply chain delays, and the ability to keep and retain a workforce. It’s a challenge for a lot of our businesses, and that’s what I heard in Iowa too. That’s why when we are in Washington, D.C., we work together to address these issues. Chuck has been a leader fighting for our farmers and relaying the impact inflation has on rural Iowans and small businesses in the heartland. We’ve both been discouraged by the inability of the Biden administration to meet this challenge. That’s why I was especially concerned to learn that Chuck’s Democrat opponent has been quick to embrace President Biden and praise the work of this administration. What I heard — and what Senator Grassley hears daily— is that Biden is not working for Iowans. That’s why we must re-elect Chuck, so he can keep fighting for Iowa.”
