Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley wants the FBI to reveal more details about its spyware program, which can be used to collect passwords from a targeted computer and pinpoint its location. Senator Grassley introducing bill to protect taxpayers from IRS

Recent incidents involving mismanagement and inappropriate conduct by employees at the Internal Revenue Service have shaken what little confidence taxpayers had in the agency, according to Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley. “This afternoon, I will announce the introduction of a bill aimed at insuring that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect taxpayers’ rights by preventing IRS abuses,” Grassley says. The IRS has never been and never will be an agency anyone is glad to hear from, but Grassley says taxpayers should at least have the piece of mind they’ll be getting a “fair shake” if there’s an issue. He and columnist Kyle Munson were trailing Grassley to learn how the senator had become a viral Twitter phenomenon. The lawmaker received the fresh strawberries at a town hall meeting Friday, May 29, in Mount Pleasant. Read More

How a New Liberal Supreme Court Justice Would Change America

It’s another day, and another tantrum from Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev. But it doesn’t matter how much he jumps up and down and stomps his feet—we aren’t going to let the far left get away with denying the American people the opportunity to be heard. Letting the American people decide this question is the reasonable approach. It’s the fair approach. It’s the historical approach. It’s the approach the other side advocated when the shoe was on the other foot. And it’s what the American people deserve. Read More
