DES MOINES— Senator Chuck Grassley will today become the first candidate for United States Senate in Iowa state history to voluntarily file a campaign finance report electronically with the Federal Election Commission. Senator Grassley has long-supported mandatory electronic campaign finance filing and will today demonstrate his commitment to transparency and accountability in government by voluntarily filing an electronic, searchable online report with the Federal Election Commission in addition to the paper report that is currently required. DES MOINES— In an editorial board interview with the Sioux City Journal, Patty Judge was asked about her position on sanctuary city policies and admitted she was "really not clear…what a sanctuary city is." Asked about Sarah's Law, pending legislation named after Iowan Sarah Root who was killed by an illegal immigrant drunk driver, she again pleaded ignorance and claimed she was not familiar with the bill. DES MOINES – In an alarming admission, Patty Judge told the Sioux City Journal's editorial board that she not only opposes a federal balanced budget amendment to the Constitution, but she also opposes Iowa's balanced budget requirement, saying "I did not think it was the wise thing to do on the state level, and I really do not think it's the wise thing to do for the country."
