Our opinion: Despite concerns, re-elect Grassley

Grassley has a long record of working hard on many issues, especially those supporting Iowa, public access to government, consumers and whistleblowers. He has a reputation for being a pain in the behind to presidents, Cabinet secretaries and government bureaucrats — regardless of party affiliation — when he gets a whiff of government waste, fraud and mismanagement, or where the citizen is being shortchanged. Republicans and Democrats have felt Grassley’s heat. We couldn’t expect the same from Judge. There is a learning curve to the ins and outs of Washington, and she would lack the seniority, rank and wherewithal of Grassley. Read More
